Description

A Naturopathic Approach to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) (Dublin Ireland In person)

Dublin Ireland In Person Event -22nd November 2025

The prevalence of NAFLD is estimated at 25% (1 in 4) of the general population with a staggering 15% of children and adolescents also affected by the condition. A common condition, yet we rarely talk about it! NAFLD has become the most prevalent chronic liver disease in the Westernised world attributed to changes in dietary habits, sedentary behaviour and interplay between gut microbiota and genetic background. Join Jacqui Dougan as she explores the key contributors to the development and progression of NAFLD. She will also provide overviews of the key NAFLD biomarkers and how to successfully employ dietary, nutrient and naturopathic strategies for your clients.

About the Speaker:

Jacqui Dougan is a naturopathic nutritional therapist and a qualified pharmacist. She works in the thyroid cardiometabolic area and frequently encounters the effects of simple and complex medicine regimens on nutrient status and disease progression. Jacqui is a Biomedicine and Nutrition Lecturer with CNM and runs a busy private nutrition clinic practice.

When not working in her clinic or educating, Jacqui enjoys life with her ever expanding brood of rescue dogs and transforming their health and happiness naturally.
